This exhibition aims to explore the spiritual and cultural importance of eagles across various Native American tribes. We invite artists to visually narrate the powerful symbolism of eagles, showcasing their connection to themes of freedom, strength, vision, and the sacred.
We welcome submissions from artists of all backgrounds and disciplines, including painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and mixed media.

The Grafton Art Gallery is proud to present Paws of the Heart, a captivating art exhibit running from February 13 to March 16, 2025. This unique collection celebrates the deep bond between humans and animals, showcasing a variety of works that explore themes of love, companionship, and the beauty of the animal world. From vivid paintings to intricate sculptures, each piece highlights the role animals play in our lives and the profound connections we share with them.
Paws of the Heart brings together local and national artists, each offering their interpretation of the emotional ties between humans and their animal companions. Whether it's a depiction of the unconditional love between a pet and owner or a broader reflection on wildlife's role in nature, this exhibit promises to inspire and touch the hearts of all who attend.
Join us at the Grafton Art Gallery for an unforgettable experience that honors the creatures that bring so much joy and meaning to our lives. The exhibit will run through March 16, with a special awards ceremony on February 21 to meet some of the featured artists.

OUR MISSION
To showcase the artistic facet of the city of Grafton by giving local and student artists a chance to financially benefit from their talents. There will be a particular emphasis on Veteran artists as the city of Grafton, Illinois has the largest percentage (17 % per capita) of Veterans in the state of Illinois.
